Cabbage cutlets with sauce

Cabbage can be tastier than meat! Don’t believe it? Try making cabbage patties! This simple yet interesting dish was a revelation for me! If you don’t like heavy food or if you’re a vegetarian, this recipe is for you! The patties turn out crispy, juicy, and very delicious! This recipe is easy to repeat, making it perfect for a quick dinner or snack. I will also show you how to make a light garlic and herb sauce.

Ingredients for “Cabbage Patties with Sauce”:

  • White cabbage – 400 g
  • Carrot – 1 piece
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • Chicken egg – 2 pieces
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Green onion – to taste
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Sour cream – 30 ml
  • Sweet paprika – a pinch

Cooking time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

  1. Finely chop the cabbage. Then boil it (for 10 minutes) and drain the excess water.
  2. Chop the carrot and onion. Pour vegetable oil into a skillet and add the onion. Sauté for 2 minutes, stirring.
  3. Add the carrot and sauté for another 2 minutes, stirring.
  4. Add the cabbage and mix well. Beat the eggs, add salt and pepper, and stir with the vegetables.
  5. Form small balls from the mixture using your hands and flatten them slightly with a spoon.
  6. Fry for 5 minutes on each side.
  7. Chop the green onion and mince the garlic. Add them to the sour cream and mix.
  8. Add a pinch of paprika to the sour cream for flavor.
